Reena Deen is a filmmaker & writer with CPTSD (mental health issue) & dyslexia. Growing up, she battled abuse & faced stigma because of her mental health problems & learning disability. However, her challenges inspired her stories which explore abuse, personality disorders and disabilities. Having disabilities herself, she often works with other cast/crew with disabilities in her film productions as she strongly believes in making media an inclusive place.
Despite her life-long passion for films, she didn’t pursue filmmaking till 40 due to financial and health issues. A government funded script writing course in 2021 reignited her dream and she taught herself film editing, directing, lighting & camera work via Kino Red Dot, an indie grassroots filmmaking club.
Her short films A Pause Is All You Need won 3rd place in the 2023 Pokka Film Festival and her film We Are Invincible won a commendation prize in the 2023 Iaminvisble competition. Her short film, Amanda & Sheldon Takes On The World, was a finalist in the 2024 Easterseals film festival. She also made Asia's 1st disability-led psychological horror feature, The Damned Ones, which is currently in the festival circuit.
Michael James Parks' struggles with ADHD didn’t stop him from running two YouTube Channels and creating 26 YouTube videos. In a true no-budget, guerrilla filmmaking style, he wrote, directed, acted, and edited most of his short films. He has also done some voice over works for some projects. One of his short films, Shave has won Outstanding Achievement Award for The World Film Carnival - Singapore during Jan 2021 - Feb 2021.
Can You See Me Daddy? is Beatrix Jiang's debut film. Only 10-years-old, she aspires to be an actress when she grows up and is currently working towards gaining admission into SOTA to pursue her dreams. She is currently in her school's drama club where she recently got an opportunity to act in a skit.
Wilies is an aspiring D.O.P who realized that he enjoyed creating dark and moody visuals while running wedding videography gigs. He joined Kino Red Dot, a grassroots indie community filmmaking club, where he put his passion and skills to good use by collaborating on a number of short films. He was nominated as the Best Cinematographer in the Singapore Film Youth Film Festival 2026 for the film 961081.
Moses spent his university years fixing Arduino boards and debugging code but a side film project with friends revealed his true passion: bringing ideas to life through visuals. Since then, he has honed his skills across both fast-paced start-ups and corporate giants, accumulating a wealth of experience in a variety of roles. He has donned the hats of a producer, director, editor, cameraman, production assistant and even actor for both commercial and passion projects.
